It’s a possibility but I know mine is mated to a 7.5l v8, and that firs gear is only good up to 10 mph until you hit redline.

Then it’s probably the same box that’s in mine. The short gear is great though when you need to pull something heavy from a dead stop but is completely useless in all other situations.

It’s not an m50 from what I could find. It wasn’t put on the 460. I’m really not sure what transmission it has and it’s 100 miles away at my parent’s place to check.

From what I found on Wikipedia it would appear to be a ZF5 because that’s what they were putting in the F350 at the time. seeing as the F Super Duty was just a cab chassis version of the 350 it would make sense to have the same transmission.

Edit: I believe the specific transmission would be a ZF5-42 from what I could find.

It has a Dolby button. I only think it reduces cassette static noise. The CD recently stopped working, and the tape unit is very loud, but it plays tapes fine. I need to do some research and see if I can fix them.

That is a parking brake, following the same design rules of most manual parking brakes. That specific handle has been around since the 60’s though.
